Christmas at Edwards Nursery.

Since last year was such a success at Edwards, we decided to go again this year!  We headed down with Grandma and Pop.  Here is Clara in front of Santa's mailbox.

Grandma and Clara in front of the poinsettias.
Clara and Pop in line to see Santa!  She was so excited to get to the front of the line to finally get her turn with Santa.

Since I was holding the camera, Kurtis got the pleasure of walking Clara up to sit on Santa's lap.  She had other plans!
She was just not having it!
Here Santa is telling Kurtis, "Just sit on my knee and hold her on YOUR lap".  Look at Kurtis' face!  He's didn't see that coming!
But as a good Daddy, he obliged!  I was cracking up behind the camera.

She just was not having it!  But Santa and Kurtis had a lovely chat!
Finally, when she had a little distance between her and the man in red, she calmed down a bit.  Plus, Santa gave her a pinwheel.

And she wanted out!
Then, we were serenaded by a lovely group of ladies singing Christmas carols.  She was in heaven.

It was another fantastic Christmas memory made!  And it was Santa visit number 2.  Practice makes perfect?

Christmas jammies 2012.

We bought the babes Christmas jammies this year (before Black Friday, thank you very much!).  So while Steve and Teenie were down for Thanksgiving, we decided to try to get a few shots of them.  They were more than thrilled.  But it was nothing a little Trix couldn't fix.  Yes, you read that right.  Oma bought a box of baby crack for the Thanksgiving weekend, and boy, those babies loved it!  They loved it so much that Clara's poop was blue for two days...not kidding.  TMI?

See, don't they look excited?

Ben looks in pain in many pictures.  Don't ask.

Will's eyes in this one are to die for!

This may be the only winner of them all!

Once again, the babies win.  What is the score now?  Babies - a billion.  Us adults - zero!

Unless...Teenie got a shot that was worth the pain.  But I'm pretty sure I would have heard about it before now!

Oh well, there's always next year!

Thanksgiving.

For Thanksgiving, the Kaufman clan came to Boise.  The babies enjoyed a little story time with Opa on Thanksgiving Eve!

On the big day, the two older babies were asleep during the meal.  And you won't believe this, but we ate without them.  Timing is everything on Thanksgiving!

They woke up shortly after the meal and we all enjoyed a little playtime outside, even though it felt pretty cold.
Then we brought those two big babes inside to enjoy their feast.  They look like they spent more time being silly than eating, but it's the holidays, rules don't apply!

The food was delish!  It was a wonderful evening with the Waldon side of the fam!  But there's more of this story to be told...in another blog post!

Potty!!!

This little thing has gone potty in the potty chair three times! Can you say, "Hooray!"?

Babies.

No, we're not having another one anytime soon! The title of this post is in reference to Clara's favorite toys, her baby dolls. She loves babies and totes them around everywhere with her! The other day, look what she did!

She found the perfect bed for them, in the drawer of the end table! What a creative thinker!

Language explosion.

Clara is speaking so much! She has surprised me with a few of these statements:

"Ben Will come Clara's house!" meaning she wanted Ben and Will to come to our house to play!

"Look baby, huge letters!"
and
"Look baby, the stars!" As she held her baby doll up to the window in the car to see the world.

And the other day, Auntie Emmy was eating some cereal. She took a particularly big and messy bite, and as milk went flying, Clara said, "Nice work, Emmy!".

She is talking up a storm! And look how grown up she looks in this pic! In three months she'll be two! Gasp!
