late summer shenanigans.

Clara spent a good portion of the summer wearing twirly dresses and accessorizing with tiaras and capes and pretty jewels.

Kurtis traded in the mismatching old beast for a new, shiny, red truck.

I painted the laundry room, downstairs hallway, living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, and stairwell from top (ceiling) to bottom (baseboards).  Glad that's done!

We watched hummingbirds eat from our feeders, butterfly bush, and other flowers in the yard.

We painted nails.

We had cousin play dates!

Enjoyed the most delish margaritas (Giada's frozen mango margarita).

Clara got her first black eye by tripping on a too big blanket (used as an Elsa cape) and hit her eye on the corner of the coffee table.

We practiced cutting, writing lines, and coloring in prep for pre-school!

Relaxed on our patio.

Rode the greenbelt!

Enjoyed the goods from the garden (notice Clara licking the pesto out of the blender).

And we were ladies who lunched!

I was particularly sad to see this summer end.  It was such a treat to be home with Clara each day!  But this summer will be remembered as a good one!
